Prior to turning professional as an entertainer Roger enjoyed a varied career including Psychiatric Nursing, Motorcycle Messenger, Window Cleaner, Landscape Gardener and General Factotum!

 

Roger cut his teeth fronting swing and jazz acts performing at top venues and clubs throughout the UK and beyond.

 

His impressive CV includes a 2 year contract as resident act at Ronnie Scott’s club (Birmingham), Roger is currently resident at Jools Holland's Jam House and frequently asked to perform for corporate and private clients in the UK and worldwide.

 

Career highlights to date include appearances before HRH Prince Charles and the honour of being the only live act invited to the James Bond 40th birthday celebrations, held at the space age mansion of Pierre Cardin during the Cannes Film Festival, this party had  an A list audience packed in to the underground car park casino lapping up their cool sounds from Rog and his band till the wee small hours.

 

He has written and directed for stage and made numerous TV appearances  including a supporting Role in ITV 1 Drama “Nice Guy Eddie” and more recently featured act in BBC 3’s  Don’t Tell the Bride”.

 

Roger has staged shows for splendid events in village halls to country house hotels and international showbiz parties. Equally at home as solo performer or with a band he brings his own unique style to the classic swing and jazz songbook.
